Strategies.
A course of sessions would typically include a psychoeducation, combining elements of cognitive behaviour therapy and education. The overall aim is to provide the client with knowledge about the presenting issue (low mood, anxiety etc.) and its treatment. Working together we create a framework for facing, understanding and coping with the problem. Ultimately, together we will create problem solving strategies to help overcome any issue.
Typical courses would run for between four to six sessions, preferably on a weekly basis, for the strategies to have maximum benefit.
