About me.

Hello, and thank you for visiting this site, hopefully you will find it useful; be reassured that you have already taken the first step to seeking help and that is always the hardest one.

To tell you a bit about myself, I am a married mother of three teenage boys and work as a mental health practitioner in a secondary school in Hertfordshire.  I have over 25 years of experience in education; qualified as a Neuro Linguistic Programmer (NLP) practitioner 10 years ago and in 2021 qualified as an Education Mental Health Practitioner via the NHS, working in numerous primary and secondary schools with students, parents and teachers.

Strategies.

A course of sessions would typically include a psychoeducation, combining elements of cognitive behaviour therapy and education. The overall aim is to provide the client with knowledge about the presenting issue (low mood, anxiety etc.) and its treatment. Working together we create a framework for facing, understanding and coping with the problem. Ultimately, together we will create problem solving strategies to help overcome any issue.

Typical courses would run for between four to six sessions, preferably on a weekly basis, for the strategies to have maximum benefit.

Prices.

  • Free 15 minute phone consultation
  • £50 per session thereafter

Testimonials.

Thanks

I would like to express my thanks to Lauren Wright.  I have had the pleasure of working alongside her and found her to be a very warm, friendly and dedicated professional. I have had much feedback following Lauren supporting our parents. A comment recently expressed to me following the intervention Lauren supported was “Lauren has changed my life” this related to a change in how a year 3 child presented when coming into school when separating from mum.  I wish Lauren best wishes for the future and hope to cross paths with her again.

A happy home

The work you completed with her has made a massive difference.  Whilst she started the academic year talking of wanting me to home educate her, she’s really got stuck in with friendships this year at school. She comes home happy, with lots to tell me. Thanks again, it’s like having my pre pandemic daughter back.

She's back!

Hi Lauren,  just wanted to say we have had a great few weeks , she’s been amazing ! I feel like I’ve got my nice little girl back!
